Our Values

QUOTE: “There are simply two types of experiences; those that are in your favor and those that are here to teach you”.

Every company has certain values that they stand by and these values help to define the company’s well-being in the long run. These values provide employees with a framework that explains to everyone who works in the company what they should expect in their tenure. Company values allow all the individuals, from the top management to entry-level employees, to work towards a united end goal and share a unified vision of the bigger picture. A survey of LinkedIn employees showed that 73% of employees that were driven by purpose were highly satisfied with their job. Core values are critical if a company wishes to be successful and persistently excel.

S.T.A.R.S Corporation uses their company values to guide all the decision making processes. These values are not a mere list of fancy words and phrases that have been jotted down together to form a document. These are well thought out values that cohere with the belief system of the company. They echo the mindset of the company and upholds the network of thoughts that serve as a foundation for the construction of the company. S.T.A.R.S Corporation stays true to their company values and expects their employees to do the same. These values are stated below:

WE LEAVE OUR EGO AT HOME

S.T.A.R.S Corporation believes in an environment where every individual is accepting of their shortcomings and every individual comes to the office with a growth mindset; always teachable and ready to learn from those who have had more experience in the field. No person is perfect and the awareness of this space for improvement is essential for the employees of the company. It is not a foreign concept for the people at S.T.A.R.S Corporation to be flexible in their behaviors; always prepared for changing times and changing scenarios.

“The moment you become aware of the ego in you, it is strictly speaking no longer the ego, but just an old, conditioned mind-pattern. Ego implies unawareness. Awareness and ego cannot coexist.”

― Eckhart Tolle

Every human being has short comings, accepting these shortcomings rather than denying them is what makes the employees of S.T.A.R.S Corporation unique. Every individual at the company is willing to polish previous methodologies to increase productivity and change the outcomes of tomorrow. The employees are expected to be teachable and self-aware. S.T.A.R.S Corporation employees are always open to criticism; they wish to learn from the constructive criticism of their peers and seniors and they take every encounter with negative criticism as a means to reflect inwards rather than being bothered by the words of another person. The employees are expected to entertain every colleague neither as a superior nor as an inferior, rather as an equal human being. The actions and behaviors of the individuals should reflect this sense of equality. There is no sense of an inflated ego among the team members. Everyone is treated in a similar manner and no one is exempted from the rules of the company, no matter the post or grade of the employee.

OPTIMISM

“Being positive won’t guarantee that you’ll succeed, but being negative will guarantee that you won’t”

-Job Gordon

For a company to flourish through good times and thrive through bad ones, it is important that the employees of the company feel optimistic and sanguine. S.T.A.R.S Corporation is actively working towards instilling positivity in their employees. No situation is ever entirely good or bad; the difference lies simply in the perspective of the beholder. With a firm belief in the glass half full, the company expects the employees to always remain positive and strive for favorable future outcomes.

The people of S.T.A.R.S Corporation do not see the point in dwelling in the negativity of a situation as it only slows down the process. Instead, they prefer to stay calm and positive; in an attempt to be able to deconstruct the issue and solve it. Every hurdle that is faced by the company is first deconstructed into smaller parts that are tangible. Then these issues are resolved by solving the smaller concerns that add up to create a huge roadblock for the company. Throughout this process, the employees are expected to always keep in mind that there is always a way! “There are no bad experiences…”, as the founder of S.T.A.R.S Corporation likes to say, “…there are simply two types of experiences; those that are in your favor and those that are here to teach you”. It is exactly this avenue of thoughts that the company lives by.

Another important thing to consider is that the company does not cater to complaining without action. S.T.A.R.S Corporation does not cater to employees who present a woeful list of tirades with no realistic suggestions to change things for the better. The company believes that the habitual rants and directionless criticism does not solve any problems, rather it further spreads negativity in the work environment and that it is a waste of the company’s energy, resources, and time. Complaining without taking action only adds to the problem rather than solving it.

TEAM SPIRIT

“If your team is committed towards one goal, even if you have differences, you know you can make it through.”

― Tim Burningham

S.T.A.R.S Corporation believes that the employees are the company’s biggest asset. Every individual is an integral part of the process and with a united front, the team members can achieve anything that they put their minds to. The company focuses on training and polishing the team to assist them in reaching their full potential. The company expects the employees to be team players; individually excelling in their domains and supporting each other to do the same. As a result, the company productivity shoots sky high and mutually benefits both; the individual and the company. The individuals that make up a company need to work in unison to be able to support the vision of the company. Not working together as a team can potentially divide the company into unwanted groups that could lead to a disruption in the flow of work. The individuals in a company function like different parts of a vehicle, there are some people working on the front end of the company while some team members are producing work behind the curtain, but what is essential to understand is that all of these employees need to collaborate to bring forward a complete service or product. A vehicle needs both the engine and the body to be called a vehicle, the same analogy implies to a company.

The company prefers to be called a tribe; a group of like-minded people who’ve gathered together by their own will, trying to flourish into the best version of themselves. The company believes in putting the tribe before the individual to uphold a feeling of solidarity and reliance between the team mates. The individuals are expected to put the interests of the company before their personal interests. The employees at the company realize that doing so eventually benefits them as well as the company. This is important because for a company to bloom into its full potential, it is vital that the team members view the company’s growth as an inexcusable factor. S.T.A.R.S Corporation is a diverse network of individuals who are devoted to doing better than yesterday. Diversity is part of the company’s values as the company strongly believes that potential employees should not face discrimination due to any factor except their work skills. Every individual is an equal for the company. Contrary to discrimination, S.T.A.R.S Corporation believes that people coming from different cultures and backgrounds bring with them different knowledge and experiences which add to the depth of the company’s work. These differences are welcomed with open doors and as a result, they provide the company with a better insight into the vast pool of diverse potential clients.

Respect is a norm at the office. The employees are expected to treat others how they would prefer others to treat them. S.T.A.R.S Corporation consciously makes an effort to certify that employees work with each other and not against each other. Profanity and leg pulling is not tolerated in the office. Such negativity is swiftly weeded out to corroborate that the company remains pragmatic. Use of profanity is condemned entirely and the office actively ensures that the work space remains deferential and benevolent.

However, it is important to realize that S.T.A.R.S Corporation believes that utilizing just means are the only unfeigned path towards growth and prosperity. Growth is essential, but the means of achieving the growth must be justifiable. The company believes in helping the employees; not to become successful but rather to become valuable individuals. The employees of S.T.A.R.S Corporation are actively working towards becoming better human beings. They uphold the rules and regulations of the company as well as the country, in both; their personal and professional lives.

― Richelle E. Goodrich

A person would not be able to blend into the company culture if they lack these qualities. At S.T.A.R.S Corporation, employees are expected to be completely honest with each other. S.T.A.R.S Corporation does not hoodwink their clients. The clients are treated with utmost respect and clarity. — John Maxwell

The company is always thinking forward, towards the future. It is this urge to always move forward towards growth that has allowed the company to reach new heights of success. S.T.A.R.S Corporation believes that without forward momentum, even the smallest of inconvenience can become a problematic hurdle for a company. The company, along with its employees, believe deeply in the company’s mission and strives to achieve their goals. The company believes that growth and improvement are an on-going process, which is why they aims to constantly work on improvements and maintain a continuous stride towards betterment. The company keeps analyzing their work and making improvements to make sure that the standards set by the company are being met consistently. The company treats the customers with great professionalism and focuses a great deal on the customer’s experience. The customer is heard attentively and always involved in the process. On every step of the process, the client’s opinion is taken into consideration so that the customer is content with the product or service being provided. S.T.A.R.S Corporation believes that the greater their momentum towards success will be, the harder it will be for any hurdle to stop them in their tracks.

ENVIRONMENT

The environment that is created in the work space is vital to the company. S.T.A.R.S Corporation believes that it is only in a healthy environment that talented employees can function to their full capacity. Certain actions are taken to always be on top of problems that may arise in the office environment.

For starters, the company strongly discourages casual relationships inside the office. This is to ensure that the environment of the office remains professional and any negativity that these casual relations might birth be nipped in the bud. An impermanent relationship can potentially damage other team members as well. This may give rise to other team members perceiving a bias in the office in favor of the people involved. The personal life of the people may start to reflect in their work and distort their work quality, making it insufficient to echo the standards of quality work that the company aspires to achieve consistently. Furthermore, the professional decorum of the office is jeopardized by any such acts that take place in the office which is why the company strongly opposes any such activity in the company.

S.T.A.R.S Corporation also believes in charity and giving back to the people. On a mission to make a positive impact on the world around themselves, the company indulges in multiple acts of giving. As a company, the team members decide and visit an institute or an area that is in dire need of help. The team plays their part by getting involved in this activity, either financially or by lending a helping hand. Any form of charity is accepted. This value is dear to the company as they work towards instilling a sense of community in their team members. Acts of charity are also an integral part of S.T.A.R.S Corporation, as the company believes that by being part of such activities the company has always benefitted in terms of gratitude; it allows the company to take a step back and view their growth from a third persons perspective, allowing them to realize exactly how blessed they are to have reached this stage of development. These acts of charity make the team members have a jocund and positive outlook on their own personal life as well. The enlightenment of the fact that we have so many blessings that, unfortunately, many people are deprived off, gives the employees of the company a boost of motivation to continue their work with zest.

ACCOUNTABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY

“The price of greatness is responsibility.”

― Winston Churchill

S.T.A.R.S Corporation holds itself to high standards of work and work ethics and the company expects nothing less than that from their employees. Which is why the company expects the employees to feel an accountability for the work that they produce. The company expects to be presented with work of unparalleled quality according to the job description of every individual who is associated with the company. The tasks assigned to the employees are conveyed without any confusion, in a clean direct manner, so that the employees can be aware of what is expected of them. Once the work has been handed over to the employee, they are expected to take responsibility of their work, their actions and the end product that they produce or, on the contrary, fail to produce. This is very essential for the company as only when every individual is willing to take personal responsibility, the company can steer forward towards growth and prosperity. S.T.A.R.S Corporation believes that the company is like a big puzzle and every individual that is associated with the company, serves as a single piece of that puzzle. Even if one of the individuals fails to deliver their work or take responsibility for getting their work done, the entire puzzle gets effected. If individuals do not take responsibility for their own work, the company as a whole will be unable to produce the favorable results that they strive to achieve.

The values of S.T.A.R.S Corporation were not created over night. The company took time and observed the requirements of the work space. As time went by and the company progressed, the values that the company uses to uphold itself got better modified and polished. For S.T.A.R.S Corporation, it is essential for each and every individual to concur with the values of the company and implement them in their dealings with other team members and even with clients. Every individual of the company, from an intern all the way to the senior management, is answerable if they deviate from the values of the company. It is these values that have assisted S.T.A.R.S Corporation to prosper with an accelerated speed and stay coherent against all the speed bumps that they faced on their way.
